Leading K-12 Teacher Professional Development Company Sold
St. Petersburg, FL, January 18, 2021 – InfoSource, LLC (ISI) has been sold to Teachers of Tomorrow (ToT). ISI’s branded online service SimpleK12.com (SK12) offers professional development and continuing education to K-12 teachers in public and private schools across the country. ToT is the leading company providing alternative certification to teachers in Texas and nine other states.
Luntz, Suleiman & Associates, Inc. (LSA) advised ISI in this transaction.
“This deal was driven by the incredibly strong strategic fit between the two companies,” said LSA Managing Director Ed Fitzelle. “Both are growing rapidly and by combining they will realize a step up in the lifetime value of their customers.” SK12, through its subscription service develops career-long bonds with 800,000 teachers; it has hit “critical mass” in its marketing and sales. ToT provides one-year alternative teaching certificates that lead to a first job in the front of the classroom. ToT has 70,000 alumni at work in schools around the country. “The combined company,” according to Fitzelle, “is now one source of services for teachers throughout their education careers.”
